KARACHI: Data Vault Pakistan has launched the country’s first AI-focused data center, marking a major milestone in local infrastructure for artificial intelligence. The facility is built to support Pakistan’s growing need for advanced computing power, enabling startups, researchers, enterprises, and government institutions to develop and deploy AI solutions within the country.

This state-of-the-art center provides enterprise-grade GPU computing, secure cloud environments, and scalable AI infrastructure powered entirely by solar energy. Designed with a strong emphasis on clean technology and data sovereignty, the facility is aimed at reducing reliance on foreign platforms while meeting international standards for privacy and security.

Mehwish Salman Ali, Founder and CEO of Data Vault Pakistan, emphasized the mission behind the project. She stated that this initiative is more than just a data center—it is intended as a foundation for building a self-reliant AI ecosystem in Pakistan. The platform enables local innovators to work with confidence, knowing that their data and intellectual property remain under sovereign control.

With GPU-as-a-Service now accessible locally, AI startups can train and deploy machine learning models without prohibitive infrastructure costs or long wait times. The availability of powerful compute resources will accelerate product development and allow for faster time-to-market for emerging ventures in the country.

Academic institutions and research organizations can also collaborate with Data Vault to access infrastructure capable of handling deep learning and other computationally intensive workloads. This opens new possibilities for AI research and development across various disciplines, from healthcare to climate science.

For enterprises and public sector entities, Data Vault offers high-security hosting environments that comply with national and global data protection standards. Sensitive workloads can be managed within the country, aligning with Pakistan’s increasing focus on digital sovereignty and local data retention.

The facility has been developed with security at its core, incorporating advanced encryption and zero-trust architecture to protect critical workloads. All stored data remains within national borders, reinforcing the platform’s commitment to self-reliant digital infrastructure.

By prioritizing sustainability, the center becomes Pakistan’s first AI-ready data facility powered completely by solar energy. This makes it not only a technological asset but also a step forward in environmentally conscious innovation.

The launch aligns with Pakistan’s broader national AI strategy, as the country advances on multiple fronts including AI regulation, local language models, and public digital infrastructure. Data Vault positions itself as a key enabler in this transformation, offering the computational foundation necessary for national-scale AI development.

Through this initiative, Pakistan now offers local entrepreneurs, developers, researchers, and institutions the opportunity to create and scale AI innovations without leaving the country. Data Vault’s entry into the market marks a significant moment in the country’s digital journey toward independent and future-ready technology ecosystems.
