Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) received 4,901 consumer complaints against telecom operators in June 2026, according to data updated for the month. Of these, the authority redressed 4,611 complaints, resulting in an overall redressal rate of 94.08 percent across all telecom service categories tracked by the regulator.

Cellular Mobile Telephony recorded the highest number of complaints during the month, accounting for more than four fifths of the total volume received. PTA received 4,188 complaints in this category and redressed 3,984 of them, resulting in a redressal rate of 95.13 percent, the highest among the four major complaint categories tracked by the authority. The dominance of mobile related complaints reflects the scale of Pakistan’s cellular subscriber base relative to other telecom services currently in use across the country.

Internet Services had the second highest number of complaints, with 581 cases reported in June. Of these, 513 were redressed, giving the category a redressal rate of 88.3 percent, which was the lowest among the four telecom service categories listed in the PTA data for the month. For Basic Telephony, referring to fixed line services, PTA received 109 complaints and redressed 93 of them, recording a redressal rate of 85.32 percent. Wireless Telephony, commonly known as WLL, generated 23 complaints during the month, of which PTA redressed 21, resulting in a redressal rate of 91.3 percent.

Taken together, the June figures show that PTA maintained a relatively high overall redressal rate of 94.08 percent for consumer complaints filed against telecom operators during the month, even as internet service related complaints continued to see comparatively slower resolution than other categories. The data reflects the ongoing role PTA plays in mediating between telecom consumers and operators, particularly as mobile and internet usage continues to expand across Pakistan and consumer expectations around service quality and complaint handling remain high.
