The Sindh government has finalized plans to launch the Sindh Youth Card, which will provide educational, financial, and employment related support to young people across the province. Pakistan Peoples Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari is set to inaugurate the initiative in the last week of August.
Sindh Minister for Sports and Youth Affairs Sardar Muhammad Bakhsh Khan Mahar said the card is being introduced to improve access to education, skills training, and employment opportunities for young people across the province. During the first phase, the Sindh Youth Card will be issued to 100,000 people between the ages of 15 and 29 across all 30 districts of Sindh.
Cardholders will be eligible for university scholarships and opportunities to pursue advanced studies in Pakistan and abroad. The program will also offer interest-free loans, financial assistance, and advanced skills training, along with discounts on local public transportation and train travel, and preferential access to selected public and private services. According to Mahar, the program is aimed at reaching young people who previously had limited access to government support, giving them equal opportunities to become financially independent.
Registration for the Sindh Youth Card will be conducted entirely online through a simple application process, though only applicants holding a Sindh domicile will be eligible. The card will be issued through Jazz Bank, tying the initiative into the province’s broader push toward digital financial inclusion, with complete registration details and other information to be announced closer to the program’s August launch.
