Punjab Information Technology Board has announced contract based career opportunities for qualified professionals in Lahore, spanning 11 job categories including software development, program management, quality assurance, library services, and supervision. Multiple positions are available for Supervisors, reflecting the board’s need to fill several roles simultaneously across its operations.

The available positions include Assistant Librarian, Assistant Program Officer, Associate Software Engineer, Principal Software Engineer, Program Manager, and Program Officer, alongside openings for Quality Assurance Engineer, Senior Program Manager, Senior Software Engineer, Software Engineer, and Supervisors. Most positions require 16 years of education, while experience requirements range from one to seven years depending on the seniority of the role.

The maximum age limit for most positions is 45 years, while applicants for Supervisor posts can be up to 50 years old. Supervisor applicants specifically need 13 years of education and at least four years of relevant experience, a lower academic threshold than the technical and management roles that make up the bulk of the openings. Candidates have been advised to review the detailed degree requirements and job descriptions for their preferred position before applying.

Applications must be submitted online through the Punjab Jobs Portal by August 19, 2026, with the board noting that submissions through email, fax, post, courier, or in person will not be accepted. Government employees are required to apply through the proper channel, and only shortlisted candidates will be contacted for further recruitment, with no travel or accommodation allowance provided for interviews. The recruitment drive adds to Punjab Information Technology Board’s ongoing efforts to build technical capacity as it continues expanding its portfolio of digital governance projects across the province.

Launched in 1967 internationally, ComputerWorld is the oldest tech magazine/media property in the world. In Pakistan, ComputerWorld was launched in 1995. It remains the oldest continuous IT publishing brand in the country and in 2025 is set to turn 30 years old, which will be its biggest benchmark and a legacy it hopes to continue for years to come.
