The Punjab Land Records Authority (PLRA) has launched a digital payment gateway that allows citizens to complete property-related payments securely through online channels. The new system provides a centralized digital option for payments linked to several land and property services, including e-Stamp, Fard, Mutation (Intiqal), Registry, land record copies and other applicable property-related charges. The launch adds another digital service to Punjab’s land records infrastructure by allowing citizens to complete payments remotely instead of relying entirely on conventional payment procedures. The online gateway has been designed around a six-step process, beginning with the submission of a challan number and ending with confirmation of the transaction and availability of an electronic receipt. The service is intended to provide citizens with a simpler way to manage property-related payments while giving them access to transaction records through digital channels.
Under the new system, users first enter their challan number on the online portal and select the “Fetch” option to retrieve the relevant payment details. After the information is displayed, users can review the details before proceeding with the payment. The next step allows them to select “Pay Now” and enter their debit or credit card information. The transaction then goes through the required verification process before the payment is confirmed. Once the payment has been successfully processed, the system generates an electronic receipt that users can immediately download. This process brings the payment component of several property-related services into a single digital workflow, allowing users to complete transactions without having to rely on separate manual payment procedures. The availability of an electronic receipt also provides users with a digital record of completed payments.
The digital payment facility covers a range of services handled through Punjab’s land records system. These include e-Stamp payments, Fard-related charges, Mutation or Intiqal services, Registry payments, land record copies and other property-related fees. Once users complete the required steps, the electronic receipt can be downloaded for their records. The launch represents another development in Punjab’s efforts to move property and land record services toward digital channels, with online payments now available for several commonly used services. By combining challan retrieval, payment verification, card-based transactions and electronic receipts in one process, PLRA is providing a more streamlined digital route for citizens handling property-related charges across the province.
