Beaconhouse National University has signed a memorandum of understanding with the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan, formalizing a strategic partnership aimed at supporting the country’s export sector. The agreement is designed to give entrepreneurs, researchers and aspiring interns access to resources and support intended to advance Pakistan’s broader agenda for sustainable and inclusive economic development.

The MoU was signed by Director General Punjab Rafia Syed on behalf of TDAP, with Director Hina Gul and Deputy Directors Urva Hassan Zubairi and Faiqa Zarnab also in attendance during the signing. Their presence at the ceremony reflected TDAP’s continued interest in building partnerships that connect academic institutions with the country’s trade and export development infrastructure.

The partnership is built around combining Beaconhouse National University’s expertise in fashion, design, digital innovation and entrepreneurship with TDAP’s trade networks and market intelligence capabilities. By bringing these two areas together, the collaboration aims to support export growth while giving students and researchers practical exposure to the trade sector, helping prepare a new generation of professionals for roles connected to Pakistan’s international trade and export industries.

The agreement adds to a broader pattern of collaboration between academic institutions and trade development bodies in Pakistan, as universities increasingly look to formal partnerships with government agencies to give students more direct pathways into industry relevant experience. For TDAP, partnerships of this kind reflect an ongoing effort to build stronger links between academic research and innovation on one hand, and the country’s trade and export ecosystem on the other, as both sides work to identify ways educational institutions can contribute more directly to national economic development goals.
