The Pakistan Engineering Council is offering a free five day physical training program in Project Management Professional certification for PEC registered engineers based in Gilgit-Baltistan. The training will take place at Karakoram International University from August 24 to August 28, 2026, and will be conducted by a qualified PMP trainer based in Islamabad.
The program is being offered entirely free of cost to participants, with only 20 to 23 seats available for the session. Registration will be handled on a first come, first served basis, meaning interested engineers will need to apply promptly to secure a spot given the limited number of available slots.
PMP certification is recognized internationally as one of the most widely respected credentials in project management, covering core competencies such as project planning, execution, monitoring and control. The training is designed to help engineers strengthen their skills in cost, schedule, quality and risk management, while also building stronger leadership and stakeholder management capabilities relevant to managing complex technical projects.
By offering this training specifically to engineers in Gilgit-Baltistan, the Pakistan Engineering Council aims to give professionals in the region access to internationally recognized project management training without the cost barrier that typically accompanies PMP preparation courses. Officials say the certification can help participants compete for both national and international project assignments, while also preparing them for more senior roles such as Project Manager or Project Director within their respective fields.
