The TAWAL initiative from Saudi Arabia intends to help mobile network operators in Pakistan meet their increased coverage and capacity needs for the country’s quickly expanding data demands.

Today in the Finance Division, Chief International Officer (CIO) of TAWAL Emmanuel Leonard met with Finance Minister Miftah Ismail.

The functions, purpose, and vision of TAWAL were explained to the finance minister. It was mentioned that TAWAL places a high priority on building out and improving the country’s crucial telecom infrastructure. After fully acquiring AWAL Telecom in Pakistan, the company wants to enable mobile network operators there to meet the country’s increased coverage and capacity needs for the country’s quickly expanding data demands.

The minister praised TAWAL’s operational performance and recognised its importance and value for the growth of Pakistan’s telecom industry.

He gave the team the reassurance that the current administration is working to ease business and promote foreign direct investment in Pakistan. He gave the delegation one more assurance of his support and cooperation.

Juan Pablo Sanchez, the country manager for TAWAL in Pakistan, and Shah Faisal Safdar Khattak, the country representative, also attended the meeting.
