Thirty six students from 11 public sector universities across Balochistan visited the headquarters of the United States Educational Foundation in Pakistan (USEFP) in Islamabad to learn about US government funded exchange programmes, including the Fulbright Scholarship. The visit formed part of Tech Valley Pakistan’s Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad, a five day bootcamp designed in collaboration with Google and other technology platforms aimed at ensuring the programme delivers real world impact for participating students.
During their visit, students toured the Lincoln Corner Makerspace at the USEFP facility, where they were introduced to the space’s technology and creative resources designed to support digital skills development among young Pakistanis. Students also received detailed information on the Fulbright Scholarship and other exchange opportunities available through USEFP, alongside free advising services offered by Education USA Pakistan for students interested in pursuing higher education in the United States.
The visit reflects a growing effort to connect students from Balochistan, a province that has historically had comparatively limited access to international educational and professional opportunities, with global platforms and exchange programmes. By pairing a hands on artificial intelligence bootcamp with direct exposure to US scholarship and exchange opportunities, the Digital Balochistan AI Launchpad aims to give participating students both technical skills and a clearer pathway toward pursuing further education or professional opportunities abroad.
Tech Valley Pakistan, which has positioned itself as the initiator of AI focused bootcamps for students in Balochistan, indicated plans to continue organising similar programmes in the future as part of its broader effort to expand access to technology education and international opportunities for students from the province. The initiative adds to a series of recent programmes aimed at bridging the gap between talented students from underserved regions of Pakistan and the international academic and professional platforms that could help advance their careers.
