Champions of Change Pakistan, the local chapter of the global Champions of Change Coalition, held its latest coalition meeting bringing together chief executives and senior leaders from across the country’s private sector to exchange ideas on building more progressive and inclusive organisations. The gathering was convened by Fiza Farhan, Convenor of Champions of Change Coalition Pakistan and a recognised global expert on women’s empowerment and sustainable development, who has led the group since founding it in 2018.
The meeting covered a wide range of topics under the group’s broader agenda, including the Champions of Change Strategy for 2026 to 2030 and a dedicated discussion on inclusive artificial intelligence. Participants also discussed gender equality targets, inclusive succession planning within organisations, sponsorship programmes for women in leadership, and the development of carer inclusive workplaces. According to the group, the conversation was centred specifically on leadership led impact and action, with members sharing honest reflections and best practices from their own organisations rather than treating the meeting purely as a forum for abstract discussion.
Champions of Change Pakistan currently includes CEOs and senior leaders from a range of major organisations operating in the country, with the coalition having grown since its founding to represent a large number of employees across multiple sectors. The group’s model, adapted from the Australian founded Champions of Change Coalition established in 2010, positions gender equality and inclusive leadership as core business priorities, encouraging leaders of influence to actively drive structural change within their own organisations rather than treating diversity efforts as peripheral initiatives.
Farhan said the collective energy in the room, with leaders learning directly from one another and openly sharing what has been working within their organisations, is what continues to distinguish the coalition from other industry forums. She added that the willingness of member CEOs to show up with consistent commitment and openness gives the group real confidence in the kind of progressive, inclusive organisations that can be built collectively going forward. The meeting adds to a series of ongoing engagements the coalition has held in Pakistan as it works toward the goals outlined in its 2026 to 2030 strategy, with future updates expected as member organisations report on their individual progress in the coming months.
