Dr. Murtaza Najabat, Chief Executive Officer of Revive Technologies, visited the Head Office of the Intellectual Property Organization of Pakistan (IPO-Pakistan) in Islamabad, where he met with Chairman IPO-Pakistan Dr. Hafiz Aziz ur Rehman to discuss the company’s work in the medical technology sector and broader questions around intellectual property protection in Pakistan.

During the meeting, Dr. Najabat briefed the Chairman on Revive Technologies’ ongoing research and development efforts, along with its work developing technology based healthcare solutions. The discussion gave IPO-Pakistan leadership direct insight into the kind of innovation currently taking place within Pakistan’s medical technology sector, an area that has increasingly relied on strong intellectual property protections to safeguard proprietary research and development work from being replicated without authorization.

The meeting also included a broader exchange of views between the two sides on intellectual property protection, innovation, and capacity building within Pakistan’s technology ecosystem. Both parties discussed the role that a robust intellectual property framework plays in supporting technology driven enterprises more generally, particularly as more Pakistani companies move into research intensive sectors such as healthcare technology, where safeguarding original innovations is closely tied to a company’s ability to attract investment and scale its work both locally and internationally.

Chairman IPO-Pakistan Dr. Hafiz Aziz ur Rehman appreciated Revive Technologies’ focus on innovation during the meeting and reiterated the organisation’s ongoing commitment to facilitating intellectual property protection in the country. He also reaffirmed IPO-Pakistan’s broader mandate of fostering an enabling environment for innovation and technology development across Pakistan, an objective that has become increasingly relevant as the country’s technology and healthtech sectors continue to expand and produce more original, IP dependent innovations that require formal protection mechanisms to remain competitive both domestically and abroad.
