DigiSkills.pk is holding a live session on artificial intelligence (AI) using Python today, October 20, 2026, from 2:15 PM to 3:15 PM on Microsoft Teams. The session is exclusively for trainees enrolled in Batch-04 of the program and is not open to the public. It will cover four topics: building a chatbot with Flask, building a retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) application, agents and tool integration with Flask, and natural language processing (NLP) projects for freelancing. The organisers describe it as a chance for trainees to explore AI and build practical, real-world applications.
Trainees can join by logging in to their DigiSkills.pk learning management system (LMS) account, clicking the speaker icon next to their enrolled course, opening the Live Session Announcement, and selecting Join Meeting. The topics move from basic to more advanced uses of Python. Flask is a lightweight Python web framework often used to wrap a model or script in a simple web service, which makes it a common choice for chatbot projects. RAG applications pair a language model with a search step that pulls relevant documents before the model answers, so responses are based on specific material. Agents and tool integration extend that by letting a model call outside tools, and the closing topic ties the session to the program’s freelancing focus by looking at NLP projects that trainees could offer to clients.
The session sits inside DigiSkills 3.0, which was conceived by the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication (MoITT), is funded by Ignite National Technology Fund, and is executed by Virtual University of Pakistan. DigiSkills says Batch-04 offers 24 free online courses, with all 300,000 seats filled and enrollment closed; the intake opened on July 1 and closed on July 23, and classes began in early August. AI using Python is one of the courses added when the program expanded beyond its earlier catalogue, and DigiSkills has reported training more than four million people in over 300 cities since it began in 2018. Live sessions like this one supplement the recorded lectures and weekly course material on the LMS, giving trainees a chance to see practical demonstrations and ask questions.
The announcement does not name the instructor, say whether a recording will be made available to trainees who miss the slot, or explain how many of the Batch-04 enrolments are in the AI course. It follows a similar live session on mobile game and app development held in September, which suggests DigiSkills is using short live classes to keep trainees engaged in its more technical courses. Whether they turn into freelancing income, the outcome the program promotes, will depend on how many trainees finish the full course and build a portfolio of projects like the chatbot and RAG applications covered today, and DigiSkills has not published completion or earnings figures to show how that is going.
