Eisenhower Fellows Pakistan Chapter, Harvard Alumni Association and the American Business Council are hosting an international webinar on December 3 at 4:00 PM Pakistan time to explore how rapid advancements in artificial intelligence and robotics will influence global careers, skills and professional structures. The session will bring together experts from academia, policy, business and technology to examine how fast growing automation will shape employability across sectors. Organizers stated that the discussion aims to help individuals and institutions understand the scale of change driven by intelligent systems and the need for adaptive skill development in the coming years. Participants from Pakistan and abroad are expected to join the session, reflecting the shared global interest in navigating transitions brought by AI.
The invitation highlights that more than one hundred thousand robots are being added to the workforce in the United States in 2025, while China is introducing nearly three hundred thousand robots in the same year. The organizers noted that both blue collar and white collar roles will experience significant transformation as AI systems handle repetitive tasks, advanced analytics and operational coordination. Panelists will examine which roles are most vulnerable, which new skills will emerge as essential and how organizations can support workers with reskilling to reduce social and economic impact. The webinar is expected to address global workforce trends while offering insights relevant to Pakistan’s evolving digital landscape.
The panel features Professor Richard Hill from the University of Huddersfield, who leads the Centre for Industrial Analytics and is affiliated with the Centre for Autonomous and Intelligent Systems.
