Specifications have leaked for the upcoming OnePlus 16, which appears to be on track for a late 2026 launch. Established tipster Digital Chat Station has shared a broad specification summary for the device, pointing to a phone built around a next generation Qualcomm chipset and a familiar overall design.
According to the leak, the OnePlus 16 will run on the as yet unannounced Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro and will feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display with uniform, ultra narrow bezels. The tipster suggests the overall design will remain largely unchanged from the OnePlus 15, retaining the same flat surfaces and square camera module that have defined the current generation device. The leak also points to an October 2026 launch window, mirroring the timing of the OnePlus 15’s release last year, along with a substantial 9,000mAh battery that would represent a further step up in capacity for the series.
Taken together, the leaked specifications suggest OnePlus intends to build on the strengths that defined the OnePlus 15, namely performance and battery life, rather than pursuing a significant design overhaul. Notably absent from the leak is any detail on the phone’s camera setup, an area that was widely considered the weak point of the OnePlus 15, which shipped with a triple camera configuration seen as a step back from the OnePlus 13 that preceded it.
The leak comes shortly after OnePlus confirmed it is withdrawing from the European and US markets, meaning no new OnePlus devices will be launched outside Asia going forward. OnePlus has said it will continue honoring its existing software and security update commitments for devices already sold in those markets, while parent company Oppo is expected to maintain a presence in the segments OnePlus is exiting.
