Pakistan Software Export Board welcomed a delegation from the Asian Development Bank for a discussion on potential areas of mutual collaboration and future engagement. The meeting brought together Pakistan Software Export Board Chief Executive Officer Faisal Jeddy with the Asian Development Bank’s Digital Development Specialist Adilah Junaid, Senior Digital Transformation Specialist Tahani Iqbal, Senior Digital Transformation Officer Nasruminallah Mian, and Senior Technology Officer Carmela Villamar.
The discussion also included technical experts Parvez Iftikhar, Dawood Baraech, and Ahsan Tayyab, giving the exchange a technical dimension alongside the institutional level engagement between the two organizations. While specific project details were not disclosed following the meeting, the involvement of multiple digital transformation specialists from the Asian Development Bank suggests the discussion touched on areas related to Pakistan’s broader digital economy and IT sector development.
The engagement adds to a growing pattern of international development institutions engaging directly with Pakistan Software Export Board on the country’s technology export ambitions, reflecting continued interest from multilateral organizations in supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation and IT sector growth. Asian Development Bank has separately engaged with other Pakistani institutions on digital connectivity and inclusion initiatives in recent months, including discussions with the Universal Service Fund on rural connectivity projects.
Pakistan Software Export Board said it looks forward to continued dialogue and meaningful institutional cooperation with the Asian Development Bank going forward. The meeting adds to a series of engagements the board has held with international partners in recent months as it continues positioning Pakistan’s IT and IT enabled services sector for deeper international collaboration and support.
