Registration is open for one of the leading Alibaba Cloud AI hackathons in Pakistan, organized by Banoqabil, giving participants an opportunity to transform their ideas into real world AI solutions. The event is open to students, developers, professionals, entrepreneurs, and AI enthusiasts from across Pakistan, with a registration deadline of August 7, 2026.
Participants competing in the hackathon stand to win cash prizes, earn Alibaba Cloud credits, receive mentorship, and showcase their innovations to industry stakeholders. The competition is structured to accommodate participants across a range of experience levels, from those simply using AI tools to those building original AI applications, reflecting the event’s broader positioning as a starting point for Pakistan’s next generation of AI builders.
Physical onboarding sessions for the hackathon will be held only in Lahore, Karachi, Islamabad, and Rawalpindi. Participants from other cities are welcome to join but must be able to travel to one of these cities and arrange their own travel and accommodation, a logistical requirement that may limit participation for those based outside these urban centers.
The hackathon is supported by Alibaba Cloud and Cognix, positioning it within a broader wave of AI skills and innovation initiatives that have expanded across Pakistan over the past year.
