Zong has expanded its role as a technology provider by introducing a comprehensive portfolio of Internet of Things (IoT) solutions designed to transform Pakistan’s industrial, agricultural, and urban infrastructure. The initiative marks a shift in Zong’s strategy, extending beyond traditional connectivity into tailored digital services that directly support high-impact sectors. By integrating smart technologies with industry needs, Zong aims to strengthen its position as a partner in driving operational efficiency and sustainable growth across key areas of the economy.

In the industrial sector, Zong is rolling out advanced IoT automation solutions such as automated inventory monitoring and refill systems, real-time production performance monitoring through tools like GE and OEE, and industrial energy management applications. The offering also includes smart data centers equipped with intelligent power, cooling, and uptime management solutions. These digital capabilities are positioned to help enterprises streamline production, reduce operational costs, and adopt greener practices, while creating a more resilient framework for business continuity.

Agriculture is another focus area, with IoT-powered solutions designed to enable precision farming and climate resilience. Zong is deploying soil monitoring systems, localized weather stations for real-time environmental data, and air quality monitoring tools. These technologies provide farmers and environmental managers with accurate insights, allowing them to make data-driven decisions that enhance productivity and safeguard against climate challenges. By integrating IoT into agriculture, Zong is promoting sustainable farming practices that can improve yields and better protect communities that rely on agriculture for livelihoods.

In urban environments, Zong is launching a suite of Smart City solutions aimed at building modern, citizen-centric ecosystems. These offerings combine digital infrastructure with service delivery enhancements to improve quality of life and support urban growth. From energy optimization in offices and commercial spaces to intelligent building management systems that simplify control and enhance comfort, the solutions are designed to make cities smarter, more efficient, and better equipped to handle growing population demands. The goal is to provide municipalities and developers with scalable digital platforms that foster long-term sustainability and improved service delivery for residents.

Farooq Raza Khan, Head of Business Solutions at Zong, said the company’s approach is centered on practical innovation. “With each new IoT solution, we are strengthening our role as a technology enabler. Our purpose is to drive meaningful transformation by delivering customized, smart solutions that address real-world business needs,” he stated. The initiative underscores Zong’s commitment to advancing Digital Pakistan by developing a digital ecosystem that empowers enterprises, farmers, and cities with intelligent, secure, and scalable technologies.
