Strengthening Pakistan’s digital and financial infrastructure continues to be a central priority under the leadership of Federal Minister for IT and Telecommunication, Ms. Shaza Fatima Khawaja. In line with this vision, Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) is set to host an online industry consultation on 16 December 2025, focusing on the banking challenges faced by the country’s IT and ITeS sector. The session will bring together representatives from the State Bank of Pakistan and major commercial banks to explore practical solutions that support the needs of an export-driven industry.

The consultation aims to provide a structured platform for IT and ITeS companies to highlight recurring issues in cross-border payments, day-to-day banking operations, and transactional processes. By surfacing these challenges directly to banking authorities and regulators, the session seeks to promote dialogue that can result in actionable recommendations, streamlined procedures, and more efficient financial operations for technology exporters.

Participants will have the opportunity to share practical examples of bottlenecks, discuss compliance and operational constraints, and collaborate with financial institutions on long-term improvements. The session emphasizes the importance of bridging communication between technology companies and banks to ensure that financial systems evolve in a way that supports rapid growth, scalability, and international competitiveness of Pakistan’s IT sector.

PSEB encourages all relevant stakeholders, including IT and ITeS companies, fintech solution providers, and industry associations, to register for the consultation [here](https://lnkd.in/dH-e4AAi). The session reflects broader efforts to align the country’s digital economy with international standards, reduce transactional friction, and enable technology exporters to access financial services seamlessly. Through initiatives like this, PSEB continues to play a key role in supporting the IT ecosystem while advancing Pakistan’s digital and financial infrastructure.

The consultation also reinforces the government’s commitment to fostering an enabling environment for innovation and technology-driven trade. By engaging directly with industry leaders and financial authorities, PSEB seeks to identify structural gaps, develop collaborative solutions, and support sustainable growth for IT and ITeS companies operating in local and global markets. This initiative is expected to strengthen the foundation for a more agile, secure, and efficient financial ecosystem that aligns with the country’s technology sector ambitions.
