National University of Sciences and Technology’s School of Natural Sciences is set to host the International Conference on Emerging Quantum Sciences and Technologies 2026, offering a one-day platform for students and early-career researchers from across Pakistan to present their work alongside leading national and international experts in the field. The conference is designed to bring together academics and researchers working across quantum computing, quantum communications, sensing, optics, materials science and algorithms, positioning it as a focused gathering for one of the most rapidly advancing areas of scientific research globally.

The event aims to create space for young researchers to engage directly with established experts, allowing them to present findings, exchange ideas and build connections within the quantum sciences community. By structuring the conference around a mix of student and early-career presentations alongside contributions from senior researchers, the School of Natural Sciences is aiming to encourage participation from those at earlier stages of their academic careers while still maintaining a platform that draws expertise from more established voices in the field. Quantum sciences and technologies have increasingly become an area of interest for research institutions worldwide, given their growing relevance to computing, secure communications, advanced sensing applications and next generation materials development.

For Pakistan’s academic and research community, a dedicated conference on emerging quantum sciences offers an opportunity to consolidate ongoing research efforts and create a more structured avenue for dialogue among institutions working on related topics. Events of this nature often serve as a starting point for future collaboration between universities, research labs and individual scholars, particularly in specialized and fast moving fields where sustained international engagement can be difficult to maintain without regular platforms for exchange. NUST’s decision to host the conference through its School of Natural Sciences also reflects the university’s continued investment in strengthening its research profile across emerging scientific disciplines.

Interested students and researchers who wish to participate in the conference are required to submit their registration or abstract before the deadline of August 24, 2026. Those looking to apply can do so through the official registration form made available by the organizers. With the submission window closing shortly, prospective participants are encouraged to complete their applications well ahead of the deadline to ensure their work is considered for inclusion in the one-day programme.

The conference adds to a broader pattern of academic events being organized by NUST and its affiliated schools aimed at fostering research engagement across specialized scientific fields, further reinforcing the university’s role as one of the leading platforms for emerging research disciplines within Pakistan’s higher education sector.
