Pakistan Software Houses Association has announced the promotion of three members of its Secretariat, recognizing their contributions across policy and government affairs, member services and skills development. Gulraiz Iqbal has been promoted to Manager, Policy and Government Affairs, Khawar Mahmood has been appointed Manager, Member Services, while Syeda Safa H has been promoted to Lead, Skills Development. The promotions cover areas that are closely connected with the association’s engagement with the technology industry, its member companies and workforce development initiatives.
Gulraiz Iqbal will take on the role of Manager, Policy and Government Affairs, a position focused on an area that is important to the relationship between the information technology industry and government stakeholders. Policy and government affairs work can involve engagement on regulatory matters, industry requirements and initiatives affecting technology businesses in Pakistan. His promotion comes as the local technology sector continues to engage with government institutions on issues related to digital services, information technology exports, workforce development and policies affecting technology companies.
Khawar Mahmood has been promoted to Manager, Member Services, placing him in a role focused on engagement with P@SHA members and supporting their requirements through the association. Member services form an important part of P@SHA’s activities as the organization works with technology companies and industry stakeholders across Pakistan. Syeda Safa H has also been promoted, taking on the position of Lead, Skills Development. Her responsibilities will be connected with skills development initiatives aimed at improving the capabilities of professionals and supporting the availability of relevant technology skills within Pakistan’s information technology workforce. Skills development remains an important area for the industry as companies seek professionals with capabilities aligned with changing technology requirements and international market demand.
P@SHA congratulated the three employees on their promotions and expressed its expectation that they will continue contributing to the association’s work.
