Mr. Sajjad Syed, CEO of Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA), has expressed strong appreciation for the recently launched SkillTech Pakistan initiative. The program, rolled out by Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, has been designed as a national platform to strengthen the country’s digital skills ecosystem and enable the youth to participate meaningfully in the global technology landscape.

In his remarks, Sajjad Syed emphasized that the initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader digital transformation vision. He noted that SkillTech Pakistan carries the potential to not only prepare a new generation of professionals for the evolving demands of the tech sector but also build a sustainable talent pipeline that will help the industry grow. By focusing on future-ready skills, the program is expected to bring tangible benefits for young professionals, freelancers, and entrepreneurs, creating stronger linkages with global markets.

SkillTech Pakistan is envisioned as a comprehensive skill development initiative that targets multiple areas of technology and entrepreneurship. Its framework integrates training, mentorship, and industry partnerships to ensure that participants are not only trained in technical competencies but are also prepared for practical applications. The initiative has received endorsement from industry leaders and associations including Pakistan IT Industry Association (P@SHA), Tech Destination Pakistan, PAFLA – Pakistan Freelancers Association, and Ignite – National Technology Fund. Support from diverse stakeholders reflects a strong consensus that equipping the youth with in-demand digital expertise is crucial for advancing Pakistan’s IT exports and global competitiveness.

Prominent professionals and thought leaders such as Abu Bakar, Shaukat Ali, Amir Anzur, Sidra Jalil, Sulman Hassan, Shahbaz Hameed, Syed Asim Gilani, Raza Ahmed Sukhera, Dr. Henna Karamat Durrani, Abrar Qureshi, Qasim Khan, Ayesha Ishfaq, and Zunaira Saqib have also been associated with SkillTech Pakistan, adding depth and reach to the program. Their involvement illustrates how collaboration between policymakers, academia, industry experts, and professional associations can strengthen the initiative’s impact.

SkillTech Pakistan is being positioned as part of a long-term national strategy to foster a digitally skilled workforce. By offering structured pathways for training, it creates opportunities for the youth to secure careers in technology, both domestically and internationally. PASHA has welcomed this initiative as a timely intervention that can address the pressing need for digital talent, foster entrepreneurship, and help Pakistan position itself as a tech-driven economy.
