The position places her within PASHA’s broader secretariat function, which has increasingly taken on responsibility for shaping the association’s public positions on technology policy matters, including recent work such as its analysis of the draft National Data Governance Policy 2026.
PASHA has described its secretariat team as expanding with this addition, positioning the hire as part of a broader effort to build out the association’s capacity to engage with government bodies, regulators and industry stakeholders on policy matters affecting the country’s technology sector. The Director, Policy and Strategic Initiatives role is expected to work alongside other secretariat members in coordinating the association’s advocacy work and representing member company interests in ongoing regulatory and policy discussions.
