Governor of Sindh Syed Muhammad Nehal Hashmi attended the closing ceremony of Aptech Vision 2026 as Chief Guest in Karachi, where he appreciated the efforts of Aptech Learning Pakistan for promoting education, modern skills and technology among the country’s youth. Addressing the ceremony, the governor said artificial intelligence and digital technologies are reshaping the global economy, and that the world is changing rapidly around these emerging capabilities.
The governor said the Prime Minister of Pakistan had developed a vision for 2047 in collaboration with the country’s youth, describing a prosperous Pakistan that today’s generation is responsible for turning into reality through their talent, hard work and skills. He said initiatives are being taken under the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme to provide skilled Pakistani youth with employment opportunities abroad, while the PM Youth Hub is also facilitating young people with opportunities in education, employment, skills development and other areas relevant to the country’s broader digital and economic ambitions.
Nehal Hashmi described Aptech Vision 2026 as a positive initiative bringing youth, technology, education and industry together on one platform, reflecting the kind of consolidated events increasingly used across Pakistan to connect students and professionals directly with employers and industry leaders. He said a degree alone is no longer sufficient in the current era, emphasizing that modern skills, practical training, creative thinking and problem solving abilities have become essential requirements for young people entering the workforce.
The governor closed his remarks by noting that Pakistan’s greatest strength lies in its young population, describing it as the country’s most valuable national asset. His comments at the Aptech Vision 2026 closing ceremony reinforce a broader message consistently echoed by government officials across recent public sector engagements, tying the country’s digital transformation ambitions directly to the skills, training and opportunities made available to its youth through platforms like Aptech Vision and the government’s various youth focused programmes.
