Suzuki Motor Corporation has officially entered the electric two-wheeler market with the launch of its much-anticipated global Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) scooter, the e-ACCESS. The unveiling took place at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in New Delhi, India, marking a significant milestone for the renowned Japanese automaker. The e-ACCESS is designed to meet the growing demand for efficient, sustainable urban mobility, with a focus on cutting-edge technology, practicality, and style. This electric scooter aims to deliver both performance and convenience, positioning itself as a promising option for eco-conscious riders looking for a sleek and modern solution for their daily commutes.

The styling and design of the e-ACCESS combine Suzuki’s signature aesthetics with a contemporary flair. The scooter features a distinct LED Position Light, a vertically extending strip that adds a futuristic touch to the front of the vehicle. This modern lighting element enhances visibility and makes the scooter instantly recognizable on the road. The two-tone machined wheels are another highlight, contributing to the scooter’s upscale appearance while emphasizing Suzuki’s attention to detail in design. Overall, the e-ACCESS blends classic and contemporary styling to create a visually appealing and dynamic presence in the electric scooter market.

In terms of performance, the e-ACCESS is powered by a 3.07 kWh Lithium Iron Phosphate (LFP) battery, a reliable and durable power source known for its long life and stability. The scooter offers an impressive range of up to 95 km on a single charge, making it well-suited for city commutes and short trips. The motor, rated at 1 kW, provides a smooth and responsive ride, with a peak torque of 15 Nm, enabling the scooter to navigate urban roads with ease. With a top speed of 71 km/h, the e-ACCESS is designed to keep up with the demands of city traffic while offering efficient and enjoyable performance.

The scooter’s charging time is around 6 hours and 42 minutes for a full 0-100% charge, making it suitable for overnight charging or a quick top-up during the day. In terms of riding modes, the e-ACCESS offers three distinct settings that allow riders to customize their experience based on preferences and road conditions. This flexibility enhances the overall riding experience, giving users the freedom to adjust power delivery according to their needs.

One of the key features of the e-ACCESS is its regenerative braking system, which converts kinetic energy into battery power during braking. This system ensures efficient operation and helps extend the range by recharging the battery when the rider decelerates. Additionally, the scooter comes equipped with a reverse mode, making it easier for riders to maneuver the vehicle in tight spaces such as parking lots or narrow lanes—a feature that adds significant practicality for urban environments.

The e-ACCESS is also designed with convenience in mind, offering a range of practical features for everyday use. The scooter includes a large 17L under-seat storage compartment, providing ample space for personal items or helmets. The keyless ignition system adds an extra layer of convenience, allowing riders to start the scooter with ease. Furthermore, the color TFT LCD meter provides essential ride data, including battery status, speed, and other metrics, while smartphone integration enables users to access additional features and information on their mobile devices.

The e-ACCESS is also equipped with an auto-tensioner drive belt, which contributes to lower maintenance costs and improved durability. This feature ensures that the scooter operates smoothly over time, requiring less frequent servicing compared to traditional scooters with more complex drive systems.

Suzuki is set to begin production of the e-ACCESS in March 2025, with sales expected to commence in India by April 2025. The company plans to expand its reach beyond India, with intentions to export the scooter to various international markets. This global approach underscores Suzuki’s ambition to establish the e-ACCESS as a truly international product, offering a sustainable and stylish solution for electric mobility worldwide.

With its sleek design, solid performance specifications, and practical features, the Suzuki e-ACCESS is poised to become a strong competitor in the rapidly growing electric two-wheeler market. As urban mobility continues to shift towards eco-friendly solutions, Suzuki’s entry into the electric scooter segment promises to play a significant role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation.
