PayFast has announced the appointment of Mahwish Saad Khan as their new Chief Business Officer (CBO). With a wealth of experience spanning both the banking and fintech sectors, Mahwish is poised to take the reins at PayFast and spearhead the company’s mission to transform the country’s financial ecosystem.

PayFast has quickly emerged as one of the leading players in Pakistan’s digital payments space. With a focus on enabling seamless and secure payment solutions, PayFast has been at the forefront of the country’s push toward digitizing financial transactions.

As CBO, Mahwish will play a crucial role in accelerating PayFast’s strategy to offer innovative and accessible payment solutions, particularly through its Raast Person to Merchant (P2M) payments service. Raast, Pakistan’s first instant payment system, is designed to facilitate easy, secure, and fast transactions between individuals and businesses. PayFast’s integration with Raast P2M further strengthens its commitment to improving financial inclusion by ensuring that even small businesses and individuals can easily access digital payment tools.

Mahwish’s appointment comes at a pivotal time for the fintech industry in Pakistan, which is experiencing rapid growth. As the country’s economy continues to embrace digitalization, there is an increasing need for innovative financial solutions that cater to the evolving demands of businesses and individuals. PayFast is positioned to play a critical role in this transformation, and Mahwish’s leadership is expected to accelerate the company’s growth and drive its ambition to digitize the financial ecosystem.

In her new role, Mahwish will focus on scaling PayFast’s services and strengthening its relationships with partners across the banking, fintech, and business sectors. Her experience in building and managing strategic partnerships will be instrumental in expanding PayFast’s customer base and further growing its ecosystem.

“I am excited to join PayFast and contribute to its vision of empowering businesses and individuals with seamless, secure, and innovative payment solutions,” said Mahwish Saad Khan. “The opportunity to lead PayFast in delivering next-generation digital payments is an exciting challenge. Together, we will continue to focus on growing the Raast P2M ecosystem, ensuring that businesses, especially SMEs, have access to the tools they need to thrive in the digital economy.”

PayFast’s commitment to digitizing Pakistan’s economy aligns with the company’s broader mission to foster financial inclusion and provide businesses with the tools to adapt to the fast-changing digital payments landscape. The company is dedicated to simplifying the payment process for businesses, enabling them to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs through easy-to-use payment solutions.

With Mahwish at the helm, PayFast is well-positioned to continue driving innovation in the digital payments space. As Pakistan’s financial sector increasingly turns to digital solutions, PayFast aims to provide businesses with the infrastructure they need to succeed and grow, supporting a more inclusive and sustainable financial future for all.
