National Vocational and Technical Training Commission has teased an upcoming phase of its NAVTTC-Huawei Certification Training Program, promising new opportunities in artificial intelligence and cloud computing for young Pakistanis. In a social media announcement carrying the Prime Minister’s Youth Programme branding alongside Huawei’s logo, the commission said further details would be shared soon, without disclosing specific dates, application requirements, or intake numbers for the new batch.
The teaser builds on a program that has already delivered measurable results. According to official documents, the initial phase of the NAVTTC-Huawei partnership trained 2,000 young people in artificial intelligence and cloud computing, with 1,703 trainees going on to earn international certifications, a certification pass rate of roughly 85 percent. Seventy percent of graduates from that cohort secured employment following the training, with participants reporting an average monthly income of around Rs87,298 after completing the program.
The training was delivered in partnership with Huawei and delivered through training partners including CyberVision, Corvit, and University of Engineering and Technology Lahore, covering areas such as cloud tech essentials, cloud architecture, and artificial intelligence fundamentals. The program forms part of the broader Prime Minister’s Youth Programme, positioning it within the government’s wider effort to expand technical skills training for young Pakistanis through partnerships with established global technology companies.
Earlier editions of the certification program were offered free of cost, spanned roughly three months of full time training, and were conducted across major cities to ensure regional accessibility, with women and youth from underrepresented communities specifically encouraged to apply. With the latest social media announcement signaling that additional details on the next phase are forthcoming, National Vocational and Technical Training Commission appears set to build on the earlier program’s employment outcomes as it prepares to open a new round of training opportunities in AI and cloud computing.
