A team of electrical engineering graduates from National University of Sciences and Technology has secured national runner-up honors at the Nestlé Nescafé NextGen Challenge 2026, one of Pakistan’s larger student business competitions. Team Revive, comprising Musaib Memon, Kashish Maknojia, and Hissan Waseem from the university’s Class of 2026, competed against 225 teams and more than 800 participants nationwide before advancing to the Grand Pitch stage.

The team finished in the top five overall and presented their concept, Nescafé Quetta Hotel, during the Grand Pitch held at Nestlé Pakistan’s head office in Lahore. The Nescafé NextGen Challenge is organized annually by Nestlé Pakistan as a business case competition aimed at university students, tasking teams with developing commercially viable ideas centered around the Nescafé brand and presenting them to company executives and judges in a final pitch round.

This marks the second consecutive year that a team from National University of Sciences and Technology has reached the national runner-up position in the competition, reflecting a sustained track record of strong performances from the university’s students in national level business and innovation contests. The repeated success points to an established pipeline of case competition experience among the university’s engineering cohorts, who have increasingly taken part in business oriented challenges alongside their core technical coursework.

National University of Sciences and Technology has continued to position itself among Pakistan’s more active universities in student innovation competitions, with participation in events like the Nescafé NextGen Challenge complementing the institution’s broader emphasis on practical, industry facing skills development. The university’s continued strong showing at this scale of competition, held annually across the country and drawing hundreds of student teams, reinforces its standing as one of the leading contributors to Pakistan’s student entrepreneurship and innovation ecosystem.
