Pakistan’s tech industry is gearing up to make a significant impact at the prestigious Asia Pacific ICT Alliance (APICTA) Awards 2024, scheduled to be held in Brunei from December 4th onwards. A record-breaking delegation of over 20 innovative projects will represent the country, showcasing Pakistan’s burgeoning tech prowess on the global stage.

Sajjad Mustafa Syed, Chairman of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), expressed his optimism about the delegation’s potential. He highlighted the diversity of participating projects, ranging from IT companies and startups to academic institutions, emphasizing the breadth and depth of Pakistan’s tech talent.

“APICTA serves as a global platform to recognize and promote technological excellence,” said Syed. “We are confident that our delegation will not only showcase Pakistan’s innovative capabilities but also bring home numerous accolades.”

The APICTA Awards, a highly regarded international event, brings together the best minds in the Asia-Pacific region to celebrate technological advancements. Pakistan’s consistent participation and achievements at APICTA have solidified the country’s position as a rising star in the global tech landscape.

Muhammad Umair Nizam, Senior Vice Chairman of P@SHA, recalled Pakistan’s past successes at APICTA, noting that the country has consistently impressed judges with its innovative solutions and cutting-edge technologies.

P@SHA’s involvement in APICTA extends beyond participation. Four prominent Pakistani tech leaders have been selected as judges for the awards: Muhammad Zohaib Khan, Dr. Shoab Ahmed Khan, Badar Khushnood, and Dr. Usman Akram. Their presence on the judging panel underscores Pakistan’s growing influence in the international tech community.

As Pakistan continues to invest in its tech sector and foster a supportive ecosystem for innovation, events like APICTA provide an invaluable opportunity to showcase the country’s potential and attract global recognition.
