Women-led Online Marketplace Sheops Highlighted As Global Facebook Success Story
Sheops is an online marketplace for women that provides earning opportunities to women and women-owned businesses. Sheops is largely popular on Facebook among the women, with an ever-growing number of 70,000+ members in total. According to Statista, Facebook has over two billion strong monthly active users (MAU) community. In a new episode of Success Stories by Facebook Business, Sheops was revealed as a global business success story. Pakistan and especially the female workforce couldn’t be prouder!
The women run startup has been making waves since the very start. They were incubated at The Nest I/O after which they received funding as well. The platform initially started out with 5 women and now has a community of over 94.5 thousand supporters; establishing itself as the ultimate online market place for women.

Pakistan’s Success Story
Some of the feathers in Sheops cap includes their participation at the Global Entrepreneurship Summit hosted by outgoing President of the USA, Barrack Obama. Sheops also won the Best ICT Startup Award – P@SHA ICT Awards ’16 and the Silver Award, Inclusion and Community – APICTA ’16, Taipei, Taiwan. Sheops also secured funding from Jamal Khan’s company Arpatech Ventures in a six digit dollar amount.
