Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has signed a Software Technology Park (STP) agreement with Farid Tech to bring 91,500 square feet of dedicated technology workspace at the Farid Tech Building into its STP network. The agreement was signed by PSEB Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Faisal Jeddy and Hassan Farid, Director of Farid Tech. The step is part of the continued expansion of the STP network of PSEB, which is being carried out in line with the vision of Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif for a strong, export oriented digital economy and under the guidance of Minister for Information Technology (IT) Shaza Fatima Khawaja.

Mian M. Aslam Farid, Chairman of Farid Tech, was also present at the signing ceremony, and he appreciated the efforts of PSEB to expand access to dedicated infrastructure for technology companies in Pakistan. His presence alongside the director of the company underlined the support of the owners of the building for the arrangement. By bringing a building of this size into the STP network, PSEB adds a large block of space that companies can use to set up or expand their operations, and the agreement widens the range of locations that are available to firms that work in the technology sector.

The workspace offers several facilities that are intended to meet the daily needs of technology companies. These include affordable, ready to use workspace, high speed internet connectivity, uninterrupted power backup and a 24/7 operational environment, together with dedicated space for IT and Information Technology enabled Services (ITeS) companies. The facility is located in the Farid Tech Building in the I-9 Industrial Area of Islamabad. Companies that have space requirements can contact PSEB on 0300-8545410 or 0321-3434844 to find out more about the space that is on offer and to discuss how it can be used for their own operations.

PSEB said that through its expanding STP network, it is helping IT and ITeS companies access the infrastructure and operating environment that they need to establish their businesses, grow and compete in global markets. The announcement also acknowledged the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication and Tech Destination Pakistan, and it was shared with hashtags that include ITParkIslamabad, DigitalPakistan, ITExports and NationalTechnologyPark. With the new agreement, the Farid Tech Building becomes part of the network of PSEB, and technology companies in Islamabad now have another option for dedicated workspace that carries the support of the board.
