Federal Secretary for the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication Zarrar Khan will deliver the concluding remarks at the third Pakistan-Russia IT Collaboration Webinar, which is being held online on November 5. The announcement was made by Tech Destination Pakistan, which described the connection of technology capabilities with international opportunities as central to the ongoing dialogue between the two countries. The webinar is the third in a series that has been created to examine how Pakistani and Russian technology businesses can work more closely together.
The participation of the Federal Secretary is expected to bring a senior institutional perspective to the programme, which is exploring the foundations for closer cooperation between technology companies from both countries. His closing address will come at the end of a session that brings together views from government, industry, and research, giving the proceedings a policy level conclusion after the discussions among business and academic participants. The organisers said they look forward to his participation as the programme examines how the two technology ecosystems can collaborate, develop joint solutions, and explore new markets.
The webinar has been convened by Pakistan Software Export Board, which operates under the Ministry of IT and Telecommunication, together with the University of World Civilizations Moscow. The involvement of an academic institution from Russia alongside a government export promotion body from Pakistan reflects the mix of research, commercial, and institutional interests that the series is attempting to connect. The online format also allows technology companies and professionals from both countries to take part without the cost and time of international travel, which is particularly useful for smaller firms that may be considering overseas partnerships for the first time.
The series forms part of a wider effort by Pakistan’s technology sector to widen its international reach beyond its traditional export markets. Earlier this year, PASHA facilitated a virtual business to business networking session between its member companies and Russian technology firms, and the current webinar series adds a government backed channel to that growing engagement. For Pakistani companies working in IT exports and enterprise technology services, the dialogue offers a structured way to learn about the Russian market, meet potential counterparts, and assess whether joint solutions and commercial partnerships can be built on the foundations that these sessions are working to establish.
