Dubai Future Foundation (DFF) has announced the launch of the Agentic AI for Government Services Accelerator under Dubai Future Accelerators (DFA). The programme will support Dubai Government entities in rapidly prototyping and deploying government services powered by agentic artificial intelligence (AI), in line with the ambition of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to deliver the most advanced government services for the AI era. It is organized by Dubai Centre for Artificial Intelligence (DCAI), an initiative overseen by DFF, in collaboration with Digital Dubai and Dubai Electronic Security Centre (DESC). The accelerator will allow government entities to develop agentic AI powered services within significantly shorter timeframes, while maintaining high standards of quality and digital compliance, and it is designed to simplify customer journeys and improve the lives of people in the city.
In its first phase, the accelerator will bring together 33 Dubai Government entities and assess more than 300 public facing use cases, with the aim of identifying those that have the greatest potential for further development using agentic AI. The focus is on improving the effectiveness and reach of services. Participating entities will work with technology companies certified under the Dubai AI Seal, an initiative launched by DCAI to accelerate the growth of the AI sector in Dubai by recognizing trusted AI companies. The accelerator follows the operating model of Dubai Future Accelerators, which concentrates on speed and precision in the design, development and deployment of government services, and it will support government teams in building solutions that keep pace with the rapid evolution of AI.
Hamad Obaid Al Mansoori, Director General of Digital Dubai, said that excellence in government services goes beyond meeting current needs of customers, since it requires understanding how their lives are changing and designing services around what they will need next. He described the accelerator as an important step towards using data and AI to anticipate needs rather than only respond to them, and towards experiences that are smarter, more seamless and more personalized. He added that Digital Dubai is enabling this ecosystem through integrated digital infrastructure, trusted data and governance frameworks that support the safe and responsible use of AI, and he said the future of digital government cannot be shaped by one entity alone but requires collaboration between several partners.
Khalfan Juma Belhoul, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of DFF, said the launch aligns with directives of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of DFF, to position Dubai as the world’s leading city in the adoption of agentic AI across government services. Belhoul said AI allows governments to shorten traditional development cycles and improve the quality of services within much shorter timeframes. Yousuf Hamad Al Shaibani, CEO of DESC, said cybersecurity must be embedded at every stage of AI adoption, from planning and design to operation and monitoring, and he pointed to the Information Security Regulation in Dubai and the AI Security Policy as frameworks that guide government entities in adopting agentic AI responsibly, without compromising compliance, data protection or digital resilience.
