Shahid Khan has been named the new national head for Uber in Pakistan. Uber is a global ride-hailing network that effortlessly connects drivers and riders. He takes over as general manager for the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan (MENAP) region from Saad Naveed Pall.
Saad will now lead Uber’s ride-sharing business in the region’s next phase of expansion, working closely with in-market teams to identify growth opportunities, set regional goals, and drive operational excellence to fuel the Uber business.
“I’m happy of what we’ve accomplished in Pakistan, where we’ve used the country’s existing transportation infrastructure to introduce market-specific products and create tens of thousands of jobs. In a statement announcing his promotion, Saad said, “I am now excited to continue growing Uber’s business in the Middle East, North Africa, and Pakistan, to ensure that the people of this region have better access to affordable and safe travel, as well as to benefit from Uber’s technology and products.”
