Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited has announced its consolidated annual financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025, reporting strong year on year revenue growth and reinforcing its standing as Pakistan’s leading integrated telecom and information and communication technology services provider. The year was marked by a major corporate milestone as the company successfully completed the acquisition of Telenor Pakistan on December 31, 2025, following receipt of all required regulatory approvals. Operational results of Telenor Pakistan will be consolidated from January 1, 2026. With Telenor Pakistan and Orion Towers now operating as wholly owned subsidiaries, the transaction stands among the most significant telecom consolidations in the country. PTCL has also initiated progress toward the planned amalgamation of Telenor Pakistan and Ufone, subject to regulatory clearances, with the objective of expanding nationwide coverage, improving efficiencies, and strengthening long term competitiveness across connectivity and digital services.
On the consumer front, PTCL Flash Fiber maintained its leadership in the fiber broadband segment, delivering 50 percent year on year growth and retaining the highest subscriber market share at 33 percent. The introduction of the Tez Raftaar offer expanded access to high speed internet, supporting wider digital adoption and enhancing customer experience. Digital financial services under UPaisa recorded notable momentum during the year, with the 30 day active user base surpassing 1.5 million. Transactions grew by 57 percent year on year to a record monthly peak of 13.2 million, while throughput increased by 33 percent to reach a highest ever monthly level of 21.9 billion rupees. The UPTCL self care application also demonstrated strong traction, with monthly active users exceeding 5.7 million. Meanwhile, Ufone’s digital sub brand Onic crossed 406,000 subscribers, reflecting 169 percent year on year growth driven by its fully digital operating model.
Enterprise and wholesale segments also contributed to overall performance. During 2025, PTCL and Ufone expanded their enterprise footprint by scaling mobility, connectivity, and digital solutions nationwide. Ufone strengthened its corporate offerings and expanded its Device as a Service platform to support field operations, Internet of Things, and machine to machine use cases, securing major contracts across government, Trakker, financial technology, and other verticals. PTCL Smart Cloud onboarded digital banks, fintech firms, enterprises, and public sector institutions, responding to rising demand for sovereign cloud, managed security, and disaster recovery solutions. The company also upgraded artificial intelligence ready data center infrastructure, while the wholesale segment recorded growth in Internet Protocol bandwidth and managed capacity through partnerships with mobile operators and satellite providers.
Internationally, PTCL reinforced its carrier wholesale leadership through a diversified submarine cable network and resilient national fiber backbone to meet growing global data demand. The enterprise division secured major information and communication technology projects across banking, education, aviation, healthcare, and public sector organisations, while delivering Pakistan’s first 5G ready smart residential community designed to enable future oriented digital living. As part of its digital innovation efforts, PTCL became the first operator in Pakistan to introduce end to end bill payments and monthly portable document format billing through WhatsApp. The company also partnered with Mercantile, Apple’s authorised distributor in Pakistan, to launch the iPhone 17 series bundled with Ufone and PTCL Flash Fiber offers in Karachi, Lahore, and Islamabad. Its performance earned recognition at Dragons of Pakistan 2025 and Dragons of Asia 2025 awards, where PTCL received gold recognition for its Dil Se clean water access campaign along with accolades for creative excellence and socially impactful initiatives.
