The 1st International Conference on Innovations in Information and Communication Technologies (IICT’26), organized by Mehran University of Engineering and Technology (MUET), has officially announced an extension in the deadline for research submissions. Participants now have until August 15, 2025, to submit their papers. The conference aims to bring together researchers, academics, professionals, and students from around the world who are engaged in cutting-edge work in the fields of information and communication technologies.

IICT’26 provides a platform for presenting original research, discussing emerging trends, and showcasing technological developments that are shaping the future of ICT. The event welcomes a wide range of topics including but not limited to cloud computing, cybersecurity, IoT, AI, data analytics, software engineering, communication systems, and smart technologies. Researchers and technologists are encouraged to contribute new ideas and perspectives that could influence both academic thought and industry practices.

The extension in the submission deadline comes in response to a large number of requests from potential participants. Organizers noted the growing interest in the conference from national and international institutions and research centers. With more time now available, contributors can finalize their work and take advantage of the opportunity to present it at one of Pakistan’s emerging academic and technical gatherings in the ICT domain.

IICT’26 is designed to serve as a multidisciplinary hub that fosters interaction between academia, industry, and government. It aims to promote the sharing of knowledge, research collaborations, and academic discussions on the evolving landscape of digital technologies. The event will include keynote speeches, technical paper presentations, and sessions featuring experts who are influencing the direction of innovation in ICT.

Researchers and interested participants are invited to submit their papers through the official conference portal at ic-iict.muet.edu.pk. The submission guidelines, conference themes, and additional event information are available on the website. Any inquiries regarding participation, paper format, or agenda details can be directed to the conference administration via email at info.iict@admin.muet.edu.pk.

With the revised deadline, the organizers are expecting a broader range of submissions that reflect current challenges and opportunities within the ICT sector. As technology continues to evolve rapidly, conferences like IICT’26 are positioned to play an important role in fostering discourse, generating ideas, and supporting knowledge exchange across borders. The event offers researchers and industry professionals a valuable opportunity to connect, contribute, and gain visibility for their work on a respected academic platform.
