Financial Digital Inclusion Week is week of global conversations on the most important steps to advance financial inclusion that takes place from October 30 – November 3, 2017. Various organizations around the globe come together and hold conversations that are focused on how new products and partnerships are advancing financial inclusion.
The Financial Digital Inclusion Week is an initiative of the Center for Financial Inclusion at Accion and it aims to strengthen the diverse community of players involved in building a more inclusive financial ecosystem. Over 50 partners from 20 countries take part in the Finclusion week and offer more than 40 virtual and in-person events.
Karandaaz Pakistan is also part of the Financial Digital Inclusion Week 2017. Karandaaz has been an integral part when it comes to working to trigger greater financial inclusion in the country. They are also working on improving MSME access to appropriate financial services that can translate into higher economic benefits for the state and poor or marginalized groups in Pakistan.
As part of their financial inclusion week, according to Karandaaz research shows that about 29.5% of Pakistanis live below the poverty line.
