The Institute of Space Technology (IST) successfully concluded a four-day international workshop dedicated to the development of Pakistan’s first lunar CubeSat, ICUBE-Q.
Held from March 4th to 7th, 2024, the workshop served as a collaborative platform for international experts to discuss and finalize the design of this miniaturized satellite destined for the moon.
This joint project, undertaken by IST and Shanghai University SJTU, signifies a significant milestone in Pakistan’s space exploration journey. The culmination of the workshop is ICUBE-Q, a CubeSat – a compact, standardized spacecraft designed for various space missions.
ICUBE-Q is set to launch aboard the Chinese Chang’e6 mission later in 2024, marking a historic moment for Pakistani space science.
