PSEB has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Asia Web3 Alliance Japan, aimed at opening new market pathways for Pakistani technology companies across Japan and the wider Asia-Pacific region. Pathfinder CITADEL will serve as AWAJ’s local coordination partner in Pakistan, providing an on the ground presence to help facilitate the partnership’s various planned activities within the country.
According to the announcement, the partnership is designed to help connect Pakistani IT and technology companies with potential customers, business partners, investors, and broader industry ecosystems operating within Japan and the Asia-Pacific region. This positions the agreement as a market access initiative aimed at expanding the international reach of Pakistani technology firms beyond their existing client bases, potentially opening doors to a region where Pakistani companies may have had comparatively limited prior engagement compared to markets in the Middle East, Europe, or North America.
The collaboration is expected to create opportunities across several specific areas, including B2B matchmaking, market entry support, participation in international events, institutional partnerships, and broader cross border collaboration between Pakistani and regional technology companies. This range of activities suggests the partnership is intended to function as an ongoing framework for engagement rather than a single event or one time introduction, giving Pakistani companies multiple avenues through which to pursue business opportunities in the region over time.
PSEB framed the agreement as part of its broader ongoing mission to help Pakistani technology companies access new international markets, describing the work as building bridges that take the country’s technology industry to the world. The organization emphasized that the partnership adds another avenue through which Pakistani technology companies can find growth opportunities, connections, and the ability to compete globally, positioning the MoU with AWAJ as a continuation of PSEB’s established role in facilitating international market access and cross border collaboration for the country’s expanding technology sector.
