IT EXPORT GROWTH

Pakistan Bureau of Statistics (PBS) has recently reported that the IT and Telecom exports for the first six months of the current fiscal year have seen a significant growth of 3.78%. According to reports, the exports previously stood at $520.043 million whereas, for they have risen to $539.710 million for this period.

The call center services exports have reached $49.640 million, which is a growth of 9.28% from the previous year. However, the telecommunication exports have seen a massive decline of 24.57% and now stands at $98.740 million versus $130.909 million previously.

Furthermore, with regards to computer services, a growthof 13.67%  has been seen. The total revenue now stands at a massive $389.830 million compared to $342.940 million. The revenue from software consultancy has also considerably risen, from $140.471 million to $175.127 million with a growth of 24% Import and export services of computer software have also seen a 1% increase in revenue.

However, as soft exports continue to see a major boost, hardware consultancy services exports saw a major decline of 65%. The hardware exports saw only $0.901 million in revenue this period.
