Pakistan Software Houses Association for IT and ITES has displayed nominations for the Central Executive Committee elections covering the 2026-2028 term, with nominations received by the Secretary General by 18:00 hours and subsequently scrutinized by the Election Commission under Rule 18(11) of the Trade Organizations Rules 2013. The nominations were formally displayed on Sunday, August 30, 2026.
Under Rule 21(5)(c) of the DGTO Rules and Article 10(c) of the Articles of Association, each class of PASHA membership elects its own committee members, with Corporate members voting only on Corporate seats and Associate members voting only on Associate seats. Following a reference made by the Secretary General seeking regulatory guidance, the Directorate General of Trade Organizations issued a clarification on August 30 regarding the distribution of seats between the two membership classes. Based on this guidance, the Election Commission approved an allocation of seven seats to Corporate members and three seats to Associate members out of the ten general seats available.
Twelve candidates have been nominated for the seven Corporate seats, including representatives from companies such as CARE, ADDO AI, Geekinn, Digi Trends, Softoo and TkXel, while seven candidates have been nominated for the three Associate seats, representing companies including Kryptomind, KNOATIV and The Square Peg. Separately, two seats reserved specifically for women entrepreneurs, additional to the ten general seats, will be elected by the newly constituted Central Executive Committee under Article 10(e) of the Articles of Association read with Rule 21(6) of the Trade Organizations Rules 2013, with four candidates nominated for these seats, including representatives from Abacus Consulting Technology Limited, TDF-The Design Firm, Work Generations and The Square Peg.
The Election Commission has set out a detailed schedule for the remaining stages of the process, with objections to nominations due by August 30, followed by the Election Commission’s decisions on objections on September 1, and a deadline of September 3 for candidates to appeal to the regulator if needed. The final list of candidates will be displayed on September 12, with polling for the CEC elections scheduled for September 17 between 9 AM and 5 PM across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad, followed by the election for seats reserved for women entrepreneurs on September 18. The full Election Schedule 2026 is available on PASHA’s website, along with the Provisional and Final Voter Lists, nomination forms and other election related documents. The Annual General Meeting for the official announcement of the CEC and Office Bearers for 2026-2028 is scheduled for September 30. The notice was issued by the order of the Election Commission and signed by PASHA Secretary General Syed Ali Abbas Hasani.
