JazzWorld Enterprise Solutions has signed a strategic Memorandum of Understanding with iTecknologi to support the launch of Drivver, a new ride hailing platform that will combine mobility services, connectivity, digital payments and financial services. The platform is planned to offer multiple transportation options, including cars, motorcycles and rickshaws, giving users different choices for booking rides. The partnership brings together Jazz’s nationwide connectivity, digital reach, distribution capabilities and JazzCash financial ecosystem with iTecknologi’s experience in connected mobility, Internet of Things technology, fleet management and large scale operational execution. The companies intend to use these capabilities to develop a platform that connects transportation services with digital financial tools and mobile connectivity within a single ecosystem.
One of the key features of Drivver will be access to the platform without mobile data charges for users and drivers on the Jazz network. This means Jazz customers will be able to book, accept and manage rides through the platform without needing a separate internet package for the application. The feature is intended to make the service more accessible to a broad group of users, including young people, students, gig workers and drivers who rely on mobile connectivity for their daily activities. By linking the ride hailing service with Jazz’s telecommunications network, the partnership aims to remove one of the connectivity requirements associated with using a ride booking application. Drivver will also integrate JazzCash for digital payments across its ecosystem, giving riders and drivers an electronic payment option while reducing reliance on cash transactions.
The financial component of the platform is expected to extend beyond ride payments. According to the companies, drivers who primarily operate through cash will have an opportunity to establish a digital financial footprint through their activity on Drivver. Eligible users may also be connected with relevant microfinance and other financial products, subject to applicable eligibility requirements and regulations. This approach links ride hailing activity with access to digital financial services, particularly for drivers and other participants in the gig economy. Jazz will support Drivver through its connectivity, digital infrastructure and distribution capabilities, while iTecknologi will take responsibility for the platform’s technology, product innovation and operational execution. iTecknologi’s existing work in vehicle tracking, fleet management and connected mobility also provides the company with experience relevant to transportation technology.

Salman Hussain, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of iTecknologi, said Drivver is being developed with a different approach to ride hailing by combining free application access on the Jazz network, JazzCash payments, driver focused economics and access to a wider financial ecosystem. The companies have not disclosed the exact launch date, fare structure, coverage areas or the complete set of services that will be available when Drivver becomes operational. The platform will enter Pakistan’s ride hailing market with a model that combines transportation, telecom connectivity and financial services, while its eventual reach will depend on its rollout and adoption among riders and drivers.
