Huawei has unveiled the Watch 6 series at IFA 2026 in Berlin, positioning the new lineup as a premium all-round smartwatch designed to compete with the Pixel Watch 5 and Galaxy Watch 9 among other top wearables. The announcement came alongside the Watch GT 7, GT 7 Pro and the Huawei Watch D3, which includes built-in blood pressure monitoring.

The Watch 6 comes in two models and four sizes, with the regular Watch 6 available in 42mm and 46mm, and the Watch 6 Pro in 43mm and 46mm. Each features a new Arcglow Design and a new EasyCross Strap for a breathable, comfortable fit. Materials include a stainless steel case for the regular model, while the smaller 43mm Pro comes in an all-new Ceramic Edition, marking Huawei’s first all-ceramic wearable, complete with 18K gold accents.

Unlike its Pixel and Galaxy rivals, the Huawei Watch 6 runs HarmonyOS rather than Wear OS, though Huawei says it remains packed with features. X-Tap gives users a health overview in just a few seconds, now covering 11 different metrics across four categories, basic, endocrine, cardiovascular and respiratory health. The watch also introduces a new wrist rotation gesture for more one-handed navigation, more than 100 workout modes, and AI-driven workout analysis similar in concept to the Health Coach feature on Google’s smartwatch.

Additional features include eSIM connectivity for use without a companion phone, contactless payments through Curve Pay, and an AMOLED circular display. Every Watch 6 purchase includes a free Worry-Free Care package covering two years of protection for the display, crown, back cover and battery, along with a one-month free subscription to the Premium watch face membership. The Watch 6 Series will be available in the UK from September 23, starting at 399.99 pounds for the regular model and rising to 599.99 pounds for the Watch 6 Pro, with a 50 pound discount for orders placed before October 26.
