ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad Capital Territory Police (ICTP) has released a WhatsApp contact number to provide inhabitants of Islamabad with simple access to all of their services, making them the first police agency in Pakistan’s history to do so.
All of the capital police’s services will now be accessible with a single click.
The official Twitter account of the Islamabad police made the news regarding the WhatsApp number.
The tweet included a video message from Mohammad Ahasan Younus, the Inspector General of Police (IGP) of Islamabad.
“In order to make our services more available to civilians, the Islamabad Police Department has issued a WhatsApp number.”
The citizens can register themselves with our number 0334-2874287 which is 0334-ICTP-ICTP, by sending a simple hi/hello,” IGP Younus said.
He said that once the citizens register, they will receive menus of Islamabad police services.

According to IGP Younus, the ICTP WhatsApp contact allows residents to easily access all of the organisation’s services. He stated that all the information and services that a person in Islamabad would want would be available on the WhatsApp number, which would be available in both English and Urdu.
The IGP went on to say that he hopes the residents appreciate this effort as the ICTP continues to give excellent service.
