Another 5,500 handsets have been exported from Pakistan to the Middle East by Inovi Telecom, a Karachi-based smartphone maker.
This is Inovi’s second consignment of smartphones made in Pakistan, which has departed the country in a matter of weeks.
Inovi Telecom opened its state-of-the-art mobile phone assembling and manufacturing facilities in Karachi earlier this year.
The company’s goal is to not only create jobs for Pakistanis, but also to export locally built cellphones around the world, which will help the country’s economy.
A number of leading mobile phone manufacturers, including Samsung, Vivo, Oppo, Airlink, Transsion, Inovi, Tecno, and G-five, have already been granted permission to manufacture and export 2G, 3G, and 4G handsets from Pakistan by the current federal government.
Aside from exporting to worldwide markets and creating jobs, the move will also meet local demand for smartphones by providing consumers with a wide selection of the latest handsets at reduced rates.
