Spotify has announced Samar Jafri as its RADAR Pakistan artist for the fourth quarter of 2025, recognizing his growing influence as one of the most promising independent voices in the country’s music scene. The selection marks a key milestone for Jafri, whose heartfelt compositions and vocal style have earned him listeners around the world.

Expressing gratitude for the recognition, Samar Jafri shared that being chosen for Spotify’s RADAR program represents a major step forward in his artistic journey. He said that as an independent musician, this opportunity feels like the realization of a long-awaited dream. Having spent more than six years developing his sound and building the courage to release original music, Jafri emphasized how meaningful it is to see his work resonate with audiences across borders. He added that connecting with listeners on a global platform such as Spotify makes the effort worthwhile and is both humbling and rewarding.

Spotify’s data reveals that Samar Jafri’s audience extends beyond Pakistan, with strong listenership in Bangladesh, the United States, the United Kingdom, Canada, and the UAE. His music has found particular appeal among younger audiences, with over half of his listeners aged between 18 and 24. This demographic trend underscores how Jafri’s emotionally driven lyrics and contemporary sound are striking a chord with digital-native listeners. Reflecting on his success, Jafri said that every moment of growth reinforces his belief in patience and perseverance, expressing that this recognition feels like a reminder that consistent dedication brings results.

As part of the global RADAR artist development initiative, Spotify will feature Samar Jafri in an exclusive mini-documentary exploring his creative journey, inspirations, and the evolution of his music. The feature aims to provide audiences with a closer look into the personal and professional milestones that have shaped Jafri’s artistry. Speaking about this collaboration, he said sharing his story through RADAR is one of the defining experiences of his year, adding that he feels energized for what’s to come and looks forward to sharing more of his work with fans worldwide.

Rutaba Yaqub, Spotify’s Artist and Label Partnerships Manager for Pakistan and UAE, praised Jafri’s inclusion, calling him a remarkable talent and a fitting choice to conclude RADAR Pakistan Season 2025. She noted that Spotify is excited to amplify his journey and bring his music to new audiences through the platform’s global reach. Jafri’s popular singles Main Rahun and Guzaarishein have together surpassed 23.3 million streams, with Main Rahun alone recording over 14 million plays—numbers that reflect both his growing listener base and his steady ascent in the digital music landscape.

Through initiatives like RADAR, Spotify continues to provide emerging artists from Pakistan with a global platform to showcase their talent and build meaningful connections with audiences around the world. Samar Jafri’s inclusion underscores the expanding reach of Pakistani music and the creative energy that continues to define the country’s evolving digital soundscape.
