Sindh IT Company (SITC) has engaged with Pathfinder International and the Women Development Department (WDD) to advance the institutionalization of the Gender-Based Violence (GBV) Helpline Dashboard. The initiative, supported through technical assistance from the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), aims to strengthen digital governance and ensure that technology is effectively leveraged to support women’s safety and empowerment in Sindh. The upgraded GBV Helpline Dashboard, developed by Verge Systems, has reached a stage where its integration into government infrastructure is essential for sustainable operation and long-term impact.

During the meeting, Pathfinder International sought guidance from SITC to ensure the dashboard is securely hosted on appropriate government infrastructure, aligning with provincial standards for data protection and service delivery. SITC’s involvement brings valuable expertise in developing and managing government-grade digital systems, which will help ensure that the platform remains secure, reliable, and responsive to the needs of its users. The initiative reflects growing collaboration among public institutions, private technology providers, and international development partners working to enhance digital tools that address social challenges, particularly gender-based violence.

The GBV Helpline Dashboard serves as a digital mechanism to centralize and streamline reporting, response, and data management for gender-based violence cases. By integrating digital systems into such critical social services, the provincial government and its partners are creating pathways for faster coordination and stronger institutional accountability. The platform is designed to make support services more accessible to survivors, allowing real-time updates, efficient case tracking, and improved coordination between agencies. Verge Systems’ role in the technical development of the upgraded dashboard demonstrates the growing capacity of local technology companies to deliver complex solutions that meet international standards in both security and functionality.

This engagement between SITC, Pathfinder International, WDD, and UNFPA represents a shared vision of inclusive digital transformation—one that aligns technological advancement with social responsibility. By focusing on secure infrastructure and institutional continuity, the collaboration underscores how digital governance can strengthen public trust in essential services. As the GBV Helpline Dashboard transitions toward official adoption, it stands as a model for how technology partnerships can enhance the effectiveness of social protection mechanisms in Pakistan, ensuring that digital tools contribute meaningfully to safety, empowerment, and responsive governance for all citizens.
