Google Doodles Fatima Surraya Bajia On 88th Birthday

Google on the 88th Birthday of the famous Urdu playwright Fatima Surraya

Bajia has put up a doodle feature honoring the work and life of the writer.

Fatima Surraya Bajia was born on September 1, 1930 in Hyderabad Deccan and after the the partition migrated to Pakistan with her family. She stepped into showbiz with PTV in 1960. Apart from TV, she has written multiple scripts for radio and stage including Shama, Afshan, Uroosa, Ana and Tasveer. Furthermore, she is also the recipient of the Hilal-e-Imtiaz  award by the Government of Pakistan and conferred with the highest civilian award in Japan.

The playwright hails from a family of highly talented people and is the sister of the Anwar Maqsood, Zehra Nigah and late Zubaida Tariq.
