The Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), through its Women Entrepreneur Division and in collaboration with the Pakistan Institute of Trade and Development (PITAD), organized an awareness session on e-commerce and digital skills for women entrepreneurs in Islamabad. The session was held on September 15, 2026, at PITAD and brought together women entrepreneurs from Islamabad and Rawalpindi along with representatives of the Islamabad Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (IWCCI) and Rawalpindi Women Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RWCCI). The event focused on helping participants understand how digital tools can support business development and market expansion.

The session covered several areas related to digital entrepreneurship, including e-commerce, digital marketing, online business growth, digital payments and digital transformation. Participants were also introduced to opportunities for accessing domestic and international markets through online platforms. Practical discussions focused on establishing digital businesses, maintaining business records, using data and digital tools effectively, and developing online operations that can progress from local selling toward export readiness.

Women entrepreneurs actively participated in the interactive discussions and engaged with experts throughout the session, sharing their experiences and discussing challenges associated with developing online businesses. The practical presentations provided guidance on building and expanding digital businesses while using technology to improve business operations and reach new customers. The session also highlighted the role of digital commerce in helping entrepreneurs explore broader markets and prepare their businesses for participation in international trade.

The event concluded with a certificate distribution ceremony for participating entrepreneurs. The initiative forms part of TDAP’s efforts to support women entrepreneurs and increase their participation in Pakistan’s digital commerce and export sectors. By providing awareness and practical knowledge around e-commerce, digital payments, online marketing and export readiness, such programmes aim to help businesses develop the digital capabilities needed to expand beyond traditional local markets.
