Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Super Asia Group of Industries Taimoor Yousuf called on Advisor to the Punjab Chief Minister Ali Dar to discuss how artificial intelligence (AI) can be integrated across industry and retail brands. The meeting was announced by The Office of AI in Punjab, which said that the discussion focused on improving efficiency and enhancing the consumer experience across the province. The meeting brought a business leader from the private sector into contact with the official who works on the AI plans of Punjab, and it placed the subject of AI in the context of companies that make and sell goods to consumers.

According to the announcement, the discussion covered two areas where AI can be applied. The first is the improvement of efficiency across industry, which concerns the way that companies produce, manage and deliver their goods. The second is the improvement of the consumer experience across retail brands, which concerns the way that customers deal with shops and products. By naming both industry and retail, the meeting looked at the whole chain from the factory to the customer, and it considered how AI tools could be used at each stage by a group that works in both areas.

The Office of AI did not describe specific projects, agreements or timelines that came out of the meeting. The announcement limited itself to the topics of the discussion, which were the integration of AI across industry and retail brands, efficiency and the consumer experience in Punjab. It was posted with hashtags that include TheOfficeOfAI, AIEnabledDelivery, PunjabAI and AIVision2029, which link the meeting to the AI programme of the provincial government and to its target date of 2029.

The call by the CEO of Super Asia Group of Industries shows that companies in the private sector are engaging with the Office of AI on the use of AI in business. For the province, such meetings give the Office of AI a chance to hear what industry and retail brands want from AI, and for the company, it is an opportunity to discuss how the technology can be applied across its brands in Punjab. The announcement presents the meeting as a discussion on integration, with the aims of better efficiency and a better experience for consumers across the province.
