Dr. Faisal Kamiran, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Addo AI, has announced his candidacy for a seat on the PASHA Central Executive Committee for the 2026 to 2028 term. Kamiran holds a PhD in machine learning and says he has spent more than a decade delivering applied AI work for governments and Fortune 500 clients, having previously worked as an academic before co-founding Addo AI, which his campaign material describes as a Forbes featured global technology firm. Under his leadership, the company says it has scaled its operations from Pakistan into international markets, and he has described his goal for the CEC term as bringing that experience to PASHA by helping member companies win larger clients, access global networks, and scale their businesses internationally.
His manifesto sets out five main points. On positioning artificial intelligence as an export opportunity, Kamiran argues that cost advantage alone will not sustain Pakistan’s technology sector over time and that capability has to take its place, and he wants to use his machine learning background to help PASHA members move up the value chain from services toward AI products and intellectual property. On building international connections, he points to his membership in YPO, EO, and OPEN, along with relationships with government buyers and enterprise decision makers across the Middle East, Europe, ASEAN, and the United States, which he wants to convert into introductions, pilots, and market access opportunities for PASHA members. On talent development, drawing on his background as both an academic and a chief executive, he wants to address the gap between what universities teach and what industry requires by building structured pipelines, joint research initiatives, and job ready upskilling programs.

The remaining two points of his platform focus on startup support and policy engagement. Kamiran wants to connect emerging AI startups and firms within PASHA to global investors, incubation networks, and hands-on mentors, arguing that innovation requires capital and mentorship to move promising ideas toward becoming internationally competitive companies. On policy, he wants PASHA to have a seat at the table as regulation covering AI, taxation, localization, digital trade, and procurement is being shaped, ensuring the association provides credible and authoritative input from the outset rather than reacting after decisions have already been made.
Kamiran’s candidacy comes as PASHA members prepare to vote on September 17, 2026, for the ten open seats of the Central Executive Committee, with two additional reserved seats for women entrepreneurs to be filled the following day by the newly elected committee. Based on the Election Commission’s regional structure, voting is expected to be coordinated across Islamabad and Rawalpindi, Lahore, and Karachi, where PASHA maintains its secretariat and regional offices. Voting will take place through secret ballot between 9 am and 5 pm, with original CNIC or passport required for identity verification at polling stations.
